The Crafty Collaborations team is comprised of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world. Each month, we participate in several collaborative projects including blog hops, like this one, to inspire all of us in our passion for crafting. Our goal is to create, share, and inspire every crafter to keep our creative energy flowing.

Todays project features the Back on Your Feet stamp set, which is sadly retiring by the end of the current annual catalog. Since one of my crafty friends was not feeling well, I decided to grab this stamp set and create a funny pick-me up card for her.

What I did was to pull out my stamparatus, stamp the original image and afterwards use the masking technique to cover up the giraffes knotted throat and hand draw the missing part using a black stampin’ write marker. The image was colored using the stampin blends, a little color added to the back using the blending brush as well as the funny sentiment indicating that everything will be good again.

And once I was add it – I thought to myself why not create a second card using the cute turtle, tumbling round and round across the card. I guess even tough the images and topic of this stamp set – not feeling well – is not a happy one. However a fun technique card helps to put a smile back on everyones face showing, there is someone out there feeling with them and thinking about each other. Especially in those difficult times it is more important than ever to spread some kindness into the world and make each other feel a little better. I am thankful that Stampin’ Up! is giving me the great tools to craft a lovely pick-me-up-card I can share with loved ones!

As part part of the awesome crafty collaboration community it was a pleasure to share my thoughts along with my “Share it Sunday” project. I hope you enjoyed the story time and creative project.

Please feel inspired to first hop over to all the other amazing blogs, collect a lot of inspiration and afterwards spent some time over on your craft desk yourself!
